ACTIVITIES IN THE MANOR AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Boutique Hotel Virkas Manor offers a variety of free time activities not only in the territory of the manor, but also in the neighborhood and in Kuldiga. For bigger groups, we will gladly organize a special excursion or a trip. We are always here to help you.
GARDEN GAMES IN OUR PARK
Try your hand at playing one of our garden games in the manor's park – croquet, pétanque, or badminton. Noble garden games suit our manor. Games are free-of-charge and available at the reception.
OUR PETIT LIBRARY
In the small library of our manor, you will find fiction in Latvian, English, and Russian, as well as exciting guides and art books. Enjoy a peaceful book-reading and a cup of hot tea.
CHESS
Have a chess duel in our charmingly petit lounge hall. You will also find other board games.
PICNIC
Enjoy a tranquil picnic in the manor's park or by the picturesque viewpoint of Black Kolka of the river Venta just a short walk from the manor. We will gladly prepare you a picnic basket full of delicious snacks and drinks (for additional cost and when booked in advance at the reception).
GRILL
Enjoy the opportunity and organize a small barbeque evening in the manor's park. There are several grills available at the manor. The use of grill is free of charge, but at an additional fee of 20 € we can arrange fuel liquid, coal, skewers. If booked in advance, we can also arrange marinated meet, vegetables, marshmallows.
WALKING TRAILS
Enjoy a slow walk to the nearby viewpoint of Black Kolka of the river Venta (5 min) and/or the ancient mound of Kuldiga (30 min). Besides, the new walking trail along the River Venta up until the old town of Kuldiga and the Old Bridge is also expected soon.
